Founded in August of 1947


Academia Menonita Betania is a Bilingual-Christian school located in Coamo, Puerto Rico, founded in August of 1947 by two Mennonite missionary teachers – Clara Springer & Beauhla Litwiller. The land was donated by the Emmanuelli family. The school began offering Elementary classes to the children of the area. In 1962 it was incorporated in the State Department of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as a non-profit organization. Through the years the Academy has added more grades and offers quality educational services to the people of Coamo and towns near-by in the center part of the island integrating the Christian Education in all aspects of the student’s life.
